Goin’ on a bear hunt

We’re goin on a bear hunt!
We’re going on a bear hunt!
We’re gonna catch a big one!
We’re gonna catch a big one!
And I’m not afraid!
And I’m not afraid…
That is the very first song I remember learning. The bears have been coming out lately due to someone’s magic manifestation. One of our instructors, Ginger, is collecting knit bears so her daughter can give them to children in Brazil. Today a customer brought in a bear she’s made from either Paint Box or a striping Noro, then with the extra she makes a little scarf for it.
The bear is a Berroco pattern (that’s where the hunt comes in- who knows where to find that pattern?) that kind of went the way of the Reese’s Peanut Butter cup. Didn’t I write about that yesterday? I did. Okay… bears, Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups… am I having another Grateful Dead moment? Maybe I’m overdue for a Ben & Jerry’s Half Baked fix.
Anyway, the bear didn’t turn out as planned and somehow ended up in the washing machine. When it came out, *Presto* a bear she liked was dancing before her. As is often the case I offered to take a picture, and as is rarely the case this time I had the camera with me (nice pics of the ice storm yesterday, eh?)
